Well having had the new bike a week now I can honestly say its the best bike I have ever ridden.
Not quite as light as my Wilier is but on the road it is faster and requires much less effort to get it up too speed. The doubts about disc brakes and electric gearing have disappeared as the SRAM group set works so well it just feels so natural to ride. It just works and stops so efficiently. Once up to speed it just stays there, flying along. cornering is sharp and the Giant stock SLR wheelset are fantastic. So comfortable with the wider tyres and lower pressures with tubeless.
The Sram gearing with its compact 33/46 front ring and 10/36 rear cassette just makes so much sense now I have ridden it. The terrain does not matter now the bike is ready for whatever gets thrown at it.
The GIANT store in Lincoln offered a superb service and were helpful throughout my purchase. Thanks guys for all your help. I will see you soon for my six week service.
